The double edged sword

The double edged sword - referred to many times in history.

In actuality, it was a weapon which was very good in battle - the problem was, when blocked appropriately, it would cut you too.

Many things can be viewed as a double edged sword.

Writing, emailing, helping others, even charity work.

Everything you do can come back and bite you in the ass.

Even love.

You do dumb things when you are in love.

Your heart makes your brain do things which you shouldn't do.

You spend too much money.

You make bad decisions.

But you’re in love.

Love seems to be the end all of everything.

If I had a choice, I guess I’d rather look back on my life knowing I did dumb things when in love rather than knowing I’d never been in love.

Ain’t love a bitch?
